The following is a detailed list of how DODC plans to implement regulations set by the State of Massachusetts and the CDC.

Please note that this is an ever changing situation and this page will be updated as regulations change.

The following list of procedures are taken from the State of Massachusetts website. This is the link to the document pertaining specifically to dance studios and other youth activities.
Mask Wearing Guidelines:
-
All dancers and family members that enter our space must be wearing a mask.

A mask must be worn in all common space areas at all times.
-
The dance instructors will be in a mask while teaching all dance classes.

The un-vaccinated students will wear masks while dancing and can take mask breaks as needed.
Inside the studio:
-
When arriving for class your dancer will be welcomed in to stand on a carpet where he/she will be asked to place their personal belongings in a basket ( shoes included) they will then be directed to take their place in a designated personal area .The dance studio floors have been marked off with tape. Each student will have a 6 + foot box to stand inside and do all of their dancing.

No dancers will come within 6 feet of each other while in the dance studio.

Dancers must have shoes on their feet at all times. No bare feet allowed.

If dance shoes are not owned, dancers may wear socks.

There will be no use of shared dance props like scarves, hoops, etc.
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
-
All high touch items will be sanitized between every dance class. This includes (but not limited to) door handles, ballet barres, the restroom, and the dance floors themselves.

The restroom will be cleaned and sanitized after every use.

There will be hand sanitizer stations at the entrance of each dance studio as well as in each dance studio.

Anti-Bacterial hand soap and wipes will be available in the restroom.

All students must use hand sanitizer before entering each dance studio.

Studio air ducts have been cleaned and HEPA filtered air purifiers have been added to each space to allow for better air quality and circulation. Windows will be left open when possible.

Baskets will be used to transfer students to parents/ or other classes and will be individually sanitized after being left by the door upon exiting DODC for pickup.
Health Screening:

All staff members will be screened and have temperatures taken at the start of their shift.
-
Any staff member found ill or with symptoms will be immediately sent home and the dance studio will be sanitized from top to bottom. This will take place before any students enter the facility.

If a staff member is found ill or with symptoms all dance families will be notified immediately.

Students will have their temperature taken upon arrival. Any dancer with a temp of over 100.4 or who seem symptomatic will be dismissed immediately. A family member will be contact for immediate pick up. The dance studio will be sanitized from top to bottom and all classmates family members will be contacted and made aware.
Entrances and Exits:

Studio A – After parking on Main St. Dancers will wait along the sidewalk (on Main St.) and enter through the front door. Dancers will be dismissed out the back door behind the studio into the gated area near the picnic Table. This space will be clearly marked as Studio A/B pick up.

Studio B – Dancers will wait outside the studio on the sidewalk along Houghton St. and enter through door B on Houghton St. Dancers will be dismissed out the back door behind the studio inside the gated area near the picnic table. This Space will be clearly marked as Studio A/B pick up

Studio C - Dancers will wait on the sidewalk along the building and enter through the door C. Dancers will be dismissed out the back door behind the studio inside the gate closest to the building.

Studio D - Dancers will wait along the sidewalk along the building and enter through the door D. Dancers will be dismissed out the back door behind the studio inside the gate closest to the building
